I’m heading to Hearst Castle tomorrow to promote Straight Lady: The Life and Times of Margaret Dumont, “The Fifth Marx Brother.” Maggie and the Marx Brothers were guests of Hearst’s in the 1920s and 30s. I’ll be doing research on a new book while I’m there as well. Packing my books for the trip I was reminded of a Groucho Marx quote. “From the moment I picked up your book until I laid it down, I was convulsed with laughter. Some day I intend reading it.”
